Degreed content creator with over five years experience in writing and editing with additional certifications in social media management and Google Analytics. A solid background in journalism and public affairs with experience in building content on digital media platforms for nonprofits across Washington, D.C. An avid photographer who has experience with professional video production. A long-term data journalism enthusiast and volunteer. A friend.
Over the last five years, I have focused on writing and copy editing with media organizations and nonprofits across the Washington, D.C. area where creating smart, concise copy accompanied with creative problem-solving skills were essential. I also have gained three years of experience in photography and video production where strong composition, light and color balance, and post-production editing were a priority.
With a passion for the law, I pursued an undergraduate degree in political science because of my interests in quantifying patterns of data and communicating my findings with a social science methodology. During my time studying political science, I decided I wanted to express my findings and opinions in a public setting, instead of internally to executives. That’s why I pursued my Master’s in Journalism and Public Affairs at American University in Washington, D.C.
