Ben Burton Park Streambank Habitat Restoration

Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (ET)

About

We will be working to improve the Middle Oconee River stream buffer zone by removing invasive plants, selectively pruning to improve views of the river, and planting suitable native plants.
Please come prepared to work hard and get dirty! We ask that you wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. We supply all tools and equipment (including gloves and insect repellant) as well as snacks and drinking water (please bring your own refillable bottle)
Volunteers will be working outdoors. Everyone will be working hard and getting dirty.  All volunteers MUST wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and long pants and should dress appropriately for the weather.
