Easley Mill Overlook Clearing at North Oconee Greenway Volunteer Work Day

We are controlling invasive plants and selectively thinning other plants to open up views of the river while maintaining enough vegetation to hold the bank and prevent erosion when it rains.

Easley Mill is the short section of North Oconee Greenway on the south side of Oconee Street at the river. There is a small parking lot and a large granite North Oconee River sign at the road.

Parking is limited at the site. You can park at the UGA Social Work parking lot off of Williams Street (on the other side of the river).

Please come prepared to work hard and get dirty! Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and long pants and dress appropriately for the weather.

We will provide all tools and drinking water and snacks (bring your own refillable bottle, please).
